The event will be held jointly by the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Warsaw together with Centre for Conflict and Dispute Resolution at the Faculty of Law and Administration, UW. The Warsaw rounds will take place from 11 to 12 February 2010 and will be preceded by the Conference on Multi-step Dispute Resolution on 10 February. We are proud to announce that the Pre-moot will gather ten teams from four countries (Germany, Hungary, Switzerland and Poland).
During our Pre-moot all the mooties will have a perfect opportunity to practice oral argument skills and gain valuable expierence before the oral rounds in Vienna. Although there will not be a final ranking, the teams will be given scores. Moreover, arbitration panels composed of law professors, attorneys, team coaches and former Willem C. Vis Moot participants will provide the mooties with comprehensive feedback on their performances.
The conference on the day before the Pre-moot will serve as a platform for the most prominent scholars and practitioners from the major national and international law firms to exchange thoughts on arbitration practice. We do hope it will prove to be an inspiration for the mooting teams as well.
For more information about the conference, please see the conference schedule.
Yet not only is our Pre-moot an educational experience but also a great chance to get in touch with other teams, broaden friendship groups and establish new professional relationships with practicioners in the fields of international commercial law and arbitration.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Warsaw!
The organisers are particularly grateful to all the supporters and partners of the 2nd Warsaw Pre-moot.
